Protecting and strengthening retirement benefits for firefighters, including the D.R.O.P. (Deferred Retirement Option Plan) program and pension fund integrity.
Workplace Safety Standards
Ensuring Kentucky meets or exceeds NFPA safety standards for equipment, staffing levels, and training requirements for all fire departments.
Collective Bargaining Rights
Defending and expanding the right of firefighters to collectively bargain for fair wages, hours, and working conditions across all Kentucky jurisdictions.
Mental Health & PTSD
Supporting legislation that recognizes PTSD as a line-of-duty condition for firefighters and expands access to mental health services.
Social Security Fairness
Supporting the Social Security Fairness Act to eliminate penalties that reduce earned Social Security benefits for public service workers.
